Briona Daugherty is an Early Intervention Speech Therapist specializing in Speech Delay and Autism. She is an advocate for Family Inclusion in Speech Therapy, creating personalized plans that are family centered which encourage words as a part of daily routines. She worked for Royal Caribbean and Equity Theatres as a professional Opera, Musical Theatre, and Rock vocalist. She works with both children and adults in treatment for medical voice disorders and cleft palate.
She is an educator and writer with over 35 books in the genera of Speech Therapy including resources for Speech Delay, Articulation, and Stroke. Some of her titles include "Tiggy The Turtle" (A speech delay story), "The Big Book of Little Sounds" (Speech Delay and Apraxia), and "The Crocodile who Liked to Chomp." (Biting).
She is a native of San Diego, California and currently lives in Orlando, Florida with her husband and dog Teddy Roosevelt.
