Most students attend speech therapy sessions 1-2 times per week, depending on individual needs and family availability. Therapy frequency is tailored to ensure each child receives the support required for effective progress.
For young children, we utilize a parent-coaching model in online therapy, meaning that as the caregiver, you become the primary facilitator of therapy at home. Our therapists work closely with you, providing guidance and demonstrating effective strategies that support high-quality speech and language development.
Together, you and the therapist observe and respond to your child's reactions to the newly introduced Speech Therapy techniques, and jointly deciding whether to continue or adjust the approach.
This evidence-based model has been shown to be as effective as traditional, one-on-one therapy sessions. Studies indicate that it boosts caregiver confidence, enhances the ability to support your child’s development, and fosters greater consistency in implementing therapeutic strategies on non-therapy days.
Articulation therapy uses a structured, drill-based approach focused on achieving numerous accurate productions of target sounds. To make this method engaging for children, we incorporate play-based activities aligned with their interests. For example, we might "build a car," "bake a cake," or "help a penguin cross the ice" while practicing sound drills, transforming repetitive exercises into enjoyable games.
Parent involvement may be recommended based on the complexity of the speech delay or behavioral needs. Even if not required, parents are always welcome to join sessions and receive coaching to support consistent practice on non-therapy days. This collaborative approach enhances carryover and reinforces progress outside of therapy.
Speech delay treatment supports children in saying their first words and beginning to combine words into sentences. Through engaging, tailored activities, therapists help families build essential communication skills, while parents learn new games and techniques to continue building vocabulary at home.
Autism Speech Therapy focuses on building communication, social interaction, and language skills tailored to each child’s unique needs. Therapists use evidence-based methods to encourage verbal expression, nonverbal communication, and social engagement. Parent involvement is a key part of therapy, reinforcing skills at home and promoting meaningful progress in daily interactions.
